Debbie's Philosophy }

I have been involved with
animals and rescue for over 30
years.

My training years started as a
child, watching my father,
professionally, train problem
dogs . My entire family
appreciate the love of animals.
We know how special they are!

My training methods for horses
are very basic.  I start all
horses on a dressage based,
lunging program.

They work, one day on and one
day off.  Training sessions are
timed and the horse is
conditioned, the same as any
athlete in training.  Horses
respect discipline and
boundaries.  Most important, is
to learn their language.  Their
reactions are not the same as a
dog or cat.  Many people make
this mistake.  Horses need to
feel secure to make progress in
any program.  Horses were
prey animals in the wild and
are always waiting for flight.

It is up to the trainer to
understand what the horse is
trying to say!

My mission is to educate young
horse enthusiasts, so that they
may have a better relationship
with their equine partner.

The better trained the horse is,
the better chance they have of
not ending up for slaughter.
